Subject A Winning Transits

Subject A Winning Transits

The first thing we notice when we view the winning transits around the natal chart of Subject A is that transiting Jupiter (bigger, better, more) conjuncted the natal Midheaven, and the transiting Part of Fortune wasn’t far behind. But let’s begin at the beginning.

The natal Ascendant was at 29 Aries 42, which made Mars the chart ruler. Transiting Mars conjuncted transiting Transpluto of payoffs, and both were just inside the cusp of the natal 5th house of risks and gambles, where they trined the natal Ascendant.

  • Transiting Mars opposed natal Jupiter in the 11th house of plot twists.

  • Transpluto trined natal Chiron of triumphant ascendancy and once-in-a-lifetime events, and squared the natal 2nd and 8th house cusps.

The natal Midheaven had Capricorn on the cusp. Transiting Saturn was only two minutes from an exact square with natal Uranus, its co-ruler of the 11th house of plot twists.

Transiting Venus, ruler of the natal 2nd house of money and resources, made an inconjunct to the natal Ascendant, and opposed the Prenatal Solar Eclipse at 27 Pisces 28.

The transiting Sun, ruler of the 5th house of risks and gambles, opposed its own natal place. In any chart, we should examine that aspect closely. The day that it occurs, around six months after our birthday, is usually a day filled with conflict, stress and crisis. Transiting Mercury also opposed the Sun, and transiting Uranus squared it. Uranus ruled the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks.

Mercury didn’t rule an angle or winning house in this chart. If it contributed any importance, it was because it supported the transiting Sun, and reinforced a grand trine with the transiting Sun, natal Jupiter and natal Uranus.

The 8th house of lotteries had co-rulers: Mars and Pluto.

Transiting Mars, as already noted, conjuncted Transpluto of payoffs just inside the cusp of the 5th house of risks and gambles.

Transiting Pluto of wealth and transformation conjuncted the transiting Vertex date with destiny in the 8th house of lotteries, and both squared natal Jupiter (bigger, better, more) in the 11th house of plot twists.

  • Transiting Pluto and the transiting Vertex date with destiny also trined natal Transpluto of payoffs.

  • Pluto and the Vertex transiting the 8th house also made an inconjunct to the natal Sun, ruler of the 5th, and natal Uranus, co-ruler of the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks, which put them at the apex of a yod, also known as the hand of God or finger of fate.

The 11th house of plot twists also had two rulers: the primary ruler, Uranus, and the ancient ruler, Saturn.

  • As previously noted, transiting Saturn squared natal Uranus by two minutes, and made a wide trine to Transpluto of payoffs.

  • Transiting Uranus squared the natal Sun.

Transiting Jupiter, the Greater Beneficent, trined natal Saturn in the 5th house of risks and gambles, and squared the Vertex date with destiny.

The square from transiting Chiron, of triumphant ascendancy and once-in-a-lifetime events, to the natal Moon may represent the emotional calamity that winning a huge sum of money must present.

Always pay attention when the Moon’s Nodes aspect their own natal positions! These are milestones and turning points in life. Generally, just as we should rethink the transiting Sun opposed to the natal Sun aspect we saw earlier in this chart, when the Nodes are opposite their natal places—that is to say when the transiting North Node conjuncts the natal South Node, and the transiting South Node conjuncts the natal North Node—we might need to revise our perception that it represents a crisis in life. Winning the lottery is probably a crisis through we’d all like to suffer.
