Subject G Winning Transits

Subject G experienced a Mars Return in his 5th house of risks and gambles the day before he won $50,000 in the lottery. Mars was the co-ruler of his natal Scorpio Midheaven. By now you're probably expecting the next chart to be a copy of the transits to the natal, so note, it's not. It's the Lunar Return.

Above: He had a Lunar Return on the morning of the day he won, which took place in his natal 2nd house of money and resources, and the 8th house of lotteries in the Return chart. The Moon ruled the Return Chart. We'll look at that more closely in another chapter.  For now, let's return to the winning transits.

  • The transiting Part of Fortune conjoined his Prenatal Lunar Eclipse at 22 Libra 35. It was farther away, but still within orb, of a conjunction to the natal South Node.
  • Transiting Mercury, ruler of the natal 5th house of risks and gambles, as well as the intercepted 8th house of lotteries, joined in at 21 Libra 24.

Capricorn was rising, making Saturn the natal chart ruler. At 00 Leo 10, transiting Saturn sextiled natal Venus in the 8th house of lotteries.

Saturn also co-ruled the 2nd house of money with natal Uranus. Transiting Saturn and transiting Uranus squared each other. Transiting Uranus trined the natal Moon in the 2nd house of money, and sextiled natal Neptune in the 8th house of lotteries. Neptune was the co-ruler of the natal intercepted 2nd house.

Transiting Mercury ruled the natal 5th house of risks and gambles, as well as the natal intercepted 8th house of lotteries.  As mentioned a couple of paragraphs above regarding the Lunar Return, transiting Mercury conjuncted the transiting Part of Fortune and conjoined the Prenatal Lunar Eclipse.

In addition to its conjunction of the Prenatal Lunar Eclipse:

  • Mercury squared the natal Ascendant / Descendant axis.
  • Trined the Mars Return in the 5th house of risks and gambles.
  • Squared natal Pluto, primary ruler of the Midheaven.

Jupiter (bigger, better, more)  ruled the 11th house of plot twists (and was ancient ruler of the intercepted 2nd), and because transiting Jupiter was in opposition to transiting Mercury, it made almost all the same aspects, except from the opposite side:
  • Conjoined the natal North Node.
  • Squared the natal Ascendant.
  • Squared natal Pluto, primary ruler of the Midheaven.
  • And instead of a trine to the Mars Return, it made a sextile.
  • Both Mercury and Jupiter aspected the natal Vertex date with destiny, as well. Jupiter trined it, and Mercury sextiled it.
Transiting Neptune, co-ruler of the 2nd house where Pisces was intercepted, was just inside the cusp of the 11th house of plot twists, where it squared natal Mercury in the 8th house of lotteries. Natal Mercury ruled the intercepted 8th house, as well as the 5th of risks and gambles.

  • Transiting Neptune sextiled transiting Pluto. Both inconjuncted 7 Taurus 45, effectively putting the Prenatal Solar Eclipse at the apex of a yod.

Transiting Pluto squared natal Jupiter, ruler of the 11th house of plot twists and co-ruler of the intercepted 2nd house of money.

The transiting Moon’s Nodes squared the natal Vertex date with destiny.

Transiting Chiron of triumphant ascendancy and once-in-a-lifetime events:
  • Conjoined the natal North Node.
  • Squared natal Transpluto.
  • Trined the natal Vertex date with destiny.

Transiting Transpluto was conjunct the natal Sun, ruler of the 8th house of lotteries, and trined natal Uranus, co-ruler of the 2nd house of money. It also squared the natal and angular Chiron of triumphant ascendancy and once-in-a-lifetime events.

The transiting Vertex date with destiny conjoined natal Venus in the 8th house of lotteries, and transiting Venus conjoined the natal Vertex at the cusp of the 8th house, an aspect of reciprocity.
  • Transiting Venus had been retrograde since August 5, 1975 and turned stationary direct at 8:43 P.M. the night before he won.
  • The transiting Vertex also squared natal Saturn, the chart ruler and co-ruler of the 2nd house of money.

The transiting Midheaven conjoined natal Saturn, the chart ruler.
The transiting East Point / Ascendant conjunction trined the natal Part of Fortune.

As a bonus, we happen to know the day and time when Subject G bought the winning ticket. The outer planets are pretty much in the same places as in the winning chart, making the same aspects.

From the transit chart we can see that the winning ticket was purchased right after a New Moon which fell into the transit chart’s 8th house of lotteries. Transpluto of payoffs and the Vertex date with destiny were conjunct at the transiting 8th house cusp. Uranus culminated at the Midheaven, and the Part of Fortune conjoined the Ascendant (which it always does on the New Moon).

The Ticket Part of Fortune at 09 Capricorn also trined Subject G's natal Mercury, ruler of the 5th house of risks and gambles and co-ruler of the 8th house of lotteries, in the 8th house, while opposing natal Jupiter.

The New Moon also took place in Subject G’s natal 8th house of lotteries, conjunct natal Mercury.

  • Transiting Mercury was only four minutes past an exact conjunction with transiting Pluto. Together they squared natal Jupiter, co-ruler of Pisces, intercepted in the 2nd house of money.
  • The transiting Ascendant trined natal Mercury and opposed natal Jupiter, ruler of the natal 11th house of lucky breaks.

A glacier moves faster than Transpluto, so in both the winning transit chart and the one for when the ticket was purchased, it conjoined the natal Sun. However, at the time Subject G bought the ticket, the Vertex date with destiny was also conjunct the natal Sun, just ten minutes from partile. Stationary retrograde Venus transited back and forth across the natal Vertex, gathering momentum. The transiting Vertex had conjoined Neptune, ruler of the intercepted 2nd house of money, followed by Mercury, ruler of the 5th and 8th houses, before finally conjoining natal Venus for the win.
