New Moons are
transits, the beginning of a new lunar cycle. We have a New Moon each
month, and in rare cases, two. They represent seeds that will grow,
so we want to pay attention to the houses they fall into and the
natal planets or points they aspect.
Eclipses are also
lunations. Solar Eclipses are very powerful New Moons, and Lunar
Eclipses are powerful Full Moons that fall near the Moon’s Nodes.
Not every lottery winner got lucky around the time of an eclipse, but
many did, and in those cases, the charts are presented for study.
All these lunations
occurred close to the dates the subjects won, so the outer planets
and long term-transits did not move more than a few minutes from the
positions they held at the time of the win, as seen in the chapter on
Winning Transits. By eliminating focus on the long-term transits, our
attention is drawn to the faster, inner planets, and particularly to
the “children on the streets.” Watch as they predict the win,
even though they moved far from the positions they held at the time
of the New Moon or Eclipse.
