Subject E Tertiary Progressions

The tertiary progressed chart of Subject E had a relatively new sign on the Midheaven, indicating a new path in life. A new Moon was just hours away, signaling a new beginning. The Part of Fortune rose just above the Ascendant, and Jupiter, ruler of the 8th house of lotteries, activated the 2nd house of money and resources from the cusp.

Venus, the chart ruler, tightly conjuncted Mercury, ruler of the 2nd house of money and resources, as well as the 5th house of risks and gambles in the 8th house of lotteries; trined the East Point of public notice, and sextiled Saturn, a co-ruler of the Midheaven.

That left the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks, which Neptune ruled. Neptune conjuncted the Vertex date with destiny with an orb of only six minutes.

The Moon’s Nodes sextiled and trined the Ascendant / Descendant axis.

Chiron, of triumphant ascendancy and rare events, opposed Uranus, ruler of the Midheaven, and planet of shocks, surprises and sudden changes in fortune.

Transpluto squared Saturn, co-ruler of the Midheaven by only three minutes of orb.

Although Subject E won only $3.3 million, it must have transformed her life forever because we find tertiary Pluto, planet of transformation and wealth, conjunct her natal Midheaven where it conjuncted her natal Mercury, ruler of the 8th house of lotteries and 11th house of lucky breaks. Pluto also sextiled the natal Vertex date with destiny in the 8th house.

Pluto co-ruled the Ascendant. Mars was the other co-ruler, and conjuncted the natal Ascendant as well as its own natal place.

The 2nd house had Sagittarius on the cusp, making Jupiter the ruler. Tertiary Jupiter was just inside the cusp of the 8th house of lotteries where it trined the highly intuitive 12th house Neptune, ruler of the 5th house of risks and gambles. Jupiter also sextiled natal Pluto, and trined and sextiled the natal Moon’s Nodes.

The tertiary Vertex conjuncted tertiary Neptune, ruler of the 5th house, by just six minutes, and together, they trined the natal Vertex date with destiny in the 8th house of lotteries.

Mercury ruled both the 8th house of lotteries and the 11th house of lucky breaks. Tertiary Mercury conjuncted tertiary Venus and the tertiary Moon, and all of them conjuncted natal Chiron, of triumphant ascendancy and rewards, which conjuncted the natal Part of Fortune in the 2nd house of money. The three tertiary planets—Venus, Mercury, Moon—also squared Saturn in the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks.

The tertiary Sun, ruler of the Midheaven, occupied the 2nd house of money, where it opposed natal Uranus in the 8th house of lotteries.

Tertiary Uranus sextiled the natal Moon in the 11th house of lucky breaks, and squared Neptune, ruler of the 5th house of risks and gambles. Tertiary Chiron, of triumphant ascendancy and rewards, opposed tertiary Uranus, squared Neptune and trined the Moon.

The tertiary South Node, of karma earned, conjuncted tertiary Uranus, and they sextiled the natal Moon. The tertiary North Node conjuncted tertiary Chiron, of triumphant ascendancy and rewards, and they trined the natal Moon. The natal Moon occupied the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks.

The tertiary Part of Fortune squared natal Pluto, the natal Moon’s Nodes, the Midheaven / Nadir axis, and the Prenatal Lunar Eclipse at 21 Leo 14. It also trined the natal Moon in the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks.

The tertiary Ascendant squared natal Mercury, ruler of both the 8th house of lotteries and the 11th house of lucky breaks, trined the natal Moon, and opposed the natal East Point to attract public attention.

Last but not least, the tertiary Midheaven opposed the natal Sun, ruler of the natal Midheaven.

Just as we saw in the transits to the tertiary progressed chart of Subject D, boom! There’s the transiting Midheaven conjunct the Ascendant of Subject E’s chart, too. If this were Twitter, this aspect would be trending. They have almost the same Ascendant and Midheaven degree, as well.

We find transiting Venus, the chart ruler, opposed to the Ascendant and conjunct transiting Pluto, ruler of the Descendant. Transiting Venus squared tertiary Pluto. This is one of those aspects in natal astrology that can present difficult relationship issues. We don’t know if that was the case with Subject E, and it’s none of our business. What we do know is that in lottery astrology, it seldom hurts to have the chart ruler conjunct Pluto, planet of wealth. This duo sextiled the tertiary North Node conjunction to Chiron, and trined the tertiary South Node conjunction to Uranus, ruler of the Midheaven. They also squared the Prenatal Lunar Eclipse at 21 Leo 14.

While we’re at that place in the chart, notice the very fast-transiting East Point of public notice in a tight conjunction with the very slow-transiting Transpluto of payoffs, both conjuncting the Prenatal Lunar Eclipse at 21 Leo 14, and tertiary Pluto of great wealth.

The 2nd house of money and resources and the 5th house of risks and gambles share Mercury as their ruler. Transiting Mercury conjuncted the transiting Part of Fortune to create a powerhouse, but then…other than possibly helping to activate the 8th house…they did practically nothing. They had moved out of orb with tertiary Transpluto, and were still a wide orb away from an opposition with tertiary Jupiter. However, notice that Mercury was in mutual reception with both the tertiary Jupiter and transiting Jupiter, which squared its own tertiary position. Jupiter ruled the 8th house of lotteries. Transiting Jupiter trined the tertiary Sun. It is said that planets in mutual reception are interchangeable. This is one of those aspects that can be hard to see, but still counts toward the overall success of the chart.

Transiting Mars didn’t rule a winning house, but it kicked the 8th house into gear by crossing its cusp, and simultaneously separated from an opposition to tertiary Jupiter. It also trined the Prenatal Solar Eclipse at 21 Leo 14.

The transiting Sun conjuncted the tertiary Mercury conjunction with tertiary Venus in the 8th house of lotteries. Mercury ruled the 2nd house of money and 5th house of risks and gambles, and Venus was the chart ruler.

Ordinarily, we’d move on to the 11th house and its ruler, but there was something so glaringly obvious concerning the rulers of the Midheaven, that we’ll pause. We already know a relatively new sign occupied the cusp, signaling a new beginning on Subject E’s path in life. Saturn and Uranus co-rule Aquarius, the sign that occupied the Midheaven. Transiting Saturn conjuncted the Midheaven. Transiting Uranus conjuncted the tertiary Sun, bringing sudden, surprising changes to Subject E’s life.

Now we can move to the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks, ruled by Neptune. Transiting Neptune made no aspects other than a separating conjunction to the tertiary Sun. Slow-moving planets—Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Transpluto, Chiron—can be effective for a much longer time than those zippy little planets like the Moon and Mercury.

Although the Moon didn’t rule a winning house or angle, we shouldn’t overlook its transiting position through the 5th house of risks and gambles, nor the trine it made to the tertiary Ascendant and Part of Fortune, the sextile to tertiary Uranus and the South Node, or the trine to tertiary Chiron and the North Node. Nor should we miss the transiting North Node conjunction to the tertiary Moon in the 8th house of lotteries.

The transiting South Node transited the 2nd house of money, and trined the tertiary Mars conjunction to Saturn.

Transiting Chiron, of triumphant ascendancy and rare opportunities, conjuncted the tertiary Transpluto of payoffs.

The transiting Vertex date with destiny was separating from a conjunction with the tertiary North Node, trined the Ascendant, squared its own tertiary position, and that of tertiary Neptune, ruler of the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks, but it was applying to a conjunction with the Midheaven.
