Subject A Lottery Lunations and Eclipses

In a comparison of the New Moon chart of September 12, 1996 to the natal chart of Subject A, winner of $35 million dollars, we need to make a distinction between previous and current New Moons and Eclipses. In the chart of Subject A:

  • The previous New Moon took place at 20 Virgo 27 on September 12, 1996.
  • A Lunar Eclipse took place at 04 Aries 16 on September 26, 1996.
  • The current New Moon, which technically was a Solar Eclipse, took place at 19 Libra 32, on October 12, 1996, one month after the previous New Moon.
  • Subject A won the lottery on October 26, 1996, one month after the Lunar Eclipse.

The previous New Moon of September 12, which took place at 20 Virgo 26, fell into Subject A’s 5th house of risks and gambles, and conjuncted her natal Mars, the natal chart ruler.

The New Moon Venus, ruler of the 2nd house of money, conjuncted natal Transpluto of payoffs. It also trined and sextiled the natal Moon’s Nodes, marking a milestone or turning point. It was separating from a square to the natal Sun, ruler of the 5th house of risks and gambles.

The New Moon Mars (natal chart ruler, and ruler of the 2nd house of money in the New Moon chart) squared the natal Ascendant and natal Sun, ruler of the 5th house, and applied to a conjunction with natal Transpluto of payoffs.

The New Moon Ascendant, Part of Fortune, and East Point, which represents personal matters that take place in public or attract the public's attention or imagination, conjuncted the Prenatal Solar Eclipse at 27 Pisces 28.

The New Moon Midheaven (28 Sag 12) trined the natal Ascendant and opposed natal Uranus, planet of shocks, surprises and sudden changes of fortune, which ruled the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks.

The New Moon Vertex date with destiny (28 Vir 32) opposed the Prenatal Solar Eclipse at 27 Pisces 28.

Below is the chart for the September Lunar Eclipse, and below it is the Eclipse chart surrounding the natal chart.

A Lunar Eclipse took place September 26, 1996 at 4 Aries 16. The Moon fell into Subject A’s natal 12th house of intuition and other realms, conjuncted her natal North Node, and trined her natal Transpluto of payoffs. The Sun, which conjuncted the south end of the nodal axis, ruled the 5th house of risks and gambles.

Eclipse Mars, chart ruler and co-ruler of the 8th house of lotteries (and 11th house of plot twists in the Eclipse chart), opposed the natal Part of Fortune in the 10th house of public recognition, and sextiled the natal Vertex date with destiny.

Eclipse Venus, ruler of the natal 2nd house of money (and the 5th house of risks and gambles in the Eclipse chart), conjuncted the cusp of the natal 5th house, and trined natal Chiron, of triumphant ascendancy and rewards.

The Eclipse Ascendant conjuncted natal Uranus, planet of the sudden and unexpected, primary ruler of her natal 11th house of lucky breaks.

The Eclipse Part of Fortune trined the natal Ascendant and natal Sun, ruler of the 5th house of risks and gambles. It opposed natal Uranus, ruler of the 11th house.

The Eclipse East Point, in the 2nd house of money, trined the natal Part of Fortune in the 10th house of public recognition.

The Eclipse Vertex date with destiny trined natal Venus, ruler of the 2nd house of money in the 11th house of lucky breaks, and the natal Moon which both occupied and ruled an angular house.

Below is the chart for the October Solar Eclipse, and below it is the Eclipse chart surrounding the natal chart.

The Solar Eclipse that took place on October 12, 1996, at 19 Libra 31, fell into Subject A’s natal 6th house and conjuncted natal Neptune, ruler of her 12th house of intuition and other realms. Notice this is the second Eclipse to involve the 12th house. It squared her Midheaven / Nadir axis, as well as the natal Moon in her 4th house, ruler of the Nadir. It opposed the natal East Point, which represents personal matters that take place in public or capture the public’s imagination.

Eclipse Mars, chart ruler and co-ruler of the 8th house of lotteries, was separating from a conjunction to Pluto, its 8th house co-ruler, and activated the cusp of the 5th house of risks and gambles. It also trined natal Chiron, of triumphant ascendancy and rewards.

Eclipse Venus and the Eclipse Midheaven, conjuncted natal Saturn, ruler of the natal Midheaven (and the Eclipse chart’s 2nd house of money), as well as co-ruler of the natal 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks, in the natal 5th house of risks and gambles.

The Eclipse Ascendant and Part of Fortune trined the Prenatal Solar Eclipse at 27 Pisces 28, and activated the natal 8th house of lotteries from the cusp.

The Eclipse Vertex date with destiny squared the natal Vertex and Prenatal Lunar Eclipse at 12 Libra 32.

The Eclipse East Point in the 8th house of lotteries, trined natal Pluto, co-ruler of the natal 8th house, and squared natal Venus, ruler of the natal 2nd house of money. Natal Venus occupied the natal 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks. The East Point also trined its own natal position.

Two weeks after the Solar Eclipse (New Moon), on October 26, 1996, the day Subject A won, the full Moon at 03 Taurus 26, conjuncted her natal Sun, ruler of the 5th house of risks and gambles.

Next, for Subject A only, we’ll compare both Eclipses to the secondary progressed chart, solar arc directions, and the tertiary progressions.

The Lunar Eclipse (04 Ari 16) fell into the 10th house of the secondary progressed chart of Subject A, where it conjuncted the progressed North Node of the Moon and squared progressed Uranus, planet of shocks and surprises, in the 1st house. It also sextiled the progressed East Point, which attracts public attention. The progressed Moon ruled the 2nd house of money.

Eclipse Mercury, the progressed chart ruler, squared the progressed Sun and progressed Chiron of triumphant ascendancy and crowning achievements.

Eclipse Venus, ruler of the progressed 5th house of risks and gambles, trined the progressed Part of Fortune in the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks, and squared progressed Mercury, the chart ruler.

Eclipse Mars, ruler of the progressed 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks, squared progressed Venus, ruler of the progressed 5th house in the 11th house. It also closed in on a trine to the progressed Moon, ruler of the progressed 2nd house of money.

The Eclipse Ascendant trined the progressed Midheaven (0O Pis 41)  and conjuncted progressed Uranus of shocks, surprises and sudden changes.

The Eclipse Midheaven conjuncted progressed Jupiter, co-ruler of the Midheaven, planet of luck and good fortune.

The Eclipse Part of Fortune sextiled the progressed Midheaven and opposed Uranus shocks, surprises and sudden changes.

Now look at the same Lunar Eclipse compared to the solar arc directed chart:

Just as in the secondary progressed chart, the Lunar Eclipse fell into the 10th house of Subject A’s solar arc directed chart, but this time it activated the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks, and 5th house of risks and gambles, by conjuncting those cusps, assisted by the Eclipse Nodes of the Moon.

Eclipse Mercury, directed chart ruler, conjuncted directed Transpluto of payoffs.

Eclipse Venus, ruler of the directed 5th house of risks and gambles, squared the directed Moon’s Nodes by only one minute of orb.

Eclipse Jupiter activated the directed 8th house of lotteries by conjuncting the cusp. It also opposed directed Mercury, chart ruler, at the cusp of the 2nd house of money.

The Eclipse Ascendant trined the directed Midheaven and squared directed Pluto, planet of wealth and transformation.

The Eclipse Midheaven (05 Pis 57) trined directed Mercury, the chart ruler; opposed the directed Moon, ruler of the 2nd house of money; and trined Mars, ruler of the directed 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks, which occupied the 5th house of risks and gambles.

The Eclipse Part of Fortune (01 Cap 14) trined directed Venus, ruler of the 5th, in the 11th house.

The Eclipse Vertex date with destiny conjuncted the directed South Node.

Below is the Lunar Eclipse with the tertiary progressed chart.

Above we have the Lunar Eclipse chart surrounding the tertiary progressed chart of Subject A. The Eclipse fell into the 4th house where it conjuncted tertiary Jupiter, the chart ruler. Additionally, the Eclipse trined tertiary Transpluto of payoffs in the 8th house of lotteries, and squared tertiary Chiron, of triumphant ascendancy and rewards, in the 1st house. In this tertiary chart, the Moon ruled the 8th house of lotteries. The tertiary Moon occupied the 5th house of risks and gambles.

Eclipse Mars, ruler of the 5th house of risks and gambles, trined the Ascendant.

Eclipse Venus, ruler of the tertiary 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks, conjuncted tertiary Pluto in the 8th house of lotteries, and trined tertiary Mercury, ruler of the Midheaven and Descendant.

The Eclipse Ascendant (01 Can 14) trined the tertiary North Node / sextiled the South Node. As in all Lunar Eclipse charts, the Eclipse Part of Fortune opposed the Eclipse Ascendant, and therefore, made the opposite aspects to the Nodes.

The Eclipse Midheaven (05 Pis 57) sextiled the tertiary Chiron, of triumphant ascendancy and crowning achievements, and sextiled the tertiary Moon, ruler of the 8th house of lotteries in the 5th house of risks and gambles.

The Eclipse East Point, which represents personal matters that take place in public, or attract public notice, conjuncted the tertiary Descendant.

Now we'll check the Solar Eclipse to the same progressed charts

The Solar Eclipse of October 1996 at 19 Libra 31 in conjunction with the Eclipse Chiron of triumphant ascendancy and rewards fell into Subject A’s secondary progressed 5th house of risks and gambles where they made a trine to the progressed Sun.

Remember, we’re not examining long term transits in most cases, because they will be the same (or very close) to the positions they held in the winning transit chart.

Eclipse Mercury, the progressed chart ruler, conjuncted the progressed South Node; trined the progressed East Point of public notice; sextiled progressed Transpluto of payoffs in the 2nd house of money; and squared Uranus, planet of shocks and sudden changes in fortune, and was the rising planet in the progressed chart.

Eclipse Venus, ruler of the progressed 5th house of risks and gambles, trined its own place in the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks, and conjuncted progressed Saturn, ruler of the 8th house of lotteries.

The Eclipse Ascendant and Part of Fortune sextiled progressed Mars, ruler of the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks, and trined the Prenatal Solar Eclipse at 27 Pisces 28.

The Eclipse Midheaven conjuncted progressed Saturn, ruler of the 8th house of lotteries.

The Eclipse East Point (15 Sag 15), which captures the public’s imagination, conjuncted progressed Chiron, of triumphant ascendancy and rewards, and trined the progressed Moon, ruler of the 2nd house of money. It also trined progressed Pluto, planet of vast wealth and transformation.

The Eclipse Vertex date with destiny in the 1st house, sextiled progressed Venus, ruler of the 5th house of risks and gambles, in the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks.

Below is the Solar Eclipse compared to the solar arc directions

In Subject A’s solar arc directed chart, the Solar Eclipse / Chiron conjunction fell into the 5th house of risks and gambles, and in trine to the directed Sun because the secondary progressed Sun and the solar arc directed Sun are always the same.

Eclipse Mercury, the directed chart ruler, activated the 5th house of risks and gambles from just inside the cusp, and trined Chiron, of triumphant ascendancy and crowning achievements.

Eclipse Venus, ruler of the 5th house of risks and gambles, had just separated from a conjunction to the directed Moon, ruler of the 2nd house of money, and a sextile to directed Mercury, the chart ruler.

Eclipse Mars, ruler of the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks, made three aspects:
  • It sextiled the directed Sun.
  • Squared the Moon’s Nodes to mark a turning point or milestone in life.
  • Conjuncted Uranus to trigger the directed Jupiter / Uranus trine. Jupiter occupied the 11th house of lucky breaks.

The Eclipse Ascendant and Part of Fortune conjuncted the directed Vertex date with destiny, and trined the directed Part of Fortune and Prenatal Solar Eclipse at 27 Pisces 28.

The Eclipse Midheaven squared the directed Ascendant / Descendant axis.

The Eclipse Vertex date with destiny activated the 2nd house of money from just inside the cusp.

The Eclipse East Point conjuncted the directed Descendant and formed a Grand Trine with directed Jupiter and directed Uranus. Jupiter occupied the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks.

Below is the Solar Eclipse to the tertiary chart.

In the tertiary progressed chart of Subject A, the Solar Eclipse and Chiron, of triumphant ascendancy and rewards, fell into the 10th house of public recognition, where it was separating from a conjunction with tertiary Saturn, ruler of the 2nd house of money; tertiary Neptune, planet of disbelief, ruler of the Nadir; and tertiary Mars, ruler of the 5th house of risks and gambles.

Eclipse Mercury, ruler of the Midheaven, opposed tertiary Jupiter, the chart ruler. It also sextiled tertiary Venus, ruler of the 11th house of lucky breaks; squared tertiary Chiron of triumphant ascendancy and crowning achievements; and sextiled tertiary Transpluto of payoffs in the 8th house of lotteries.

Venus ruled the 11th house of plot twists and lucky breaks. Eclipse Venus trined the tertiary Moon, ruler of the 8th house of lotteries, in the 5th house of risks and gambles. Because a Solar Eclipse is, technically, a powerful New Moon, it is also tied to the 8th house, where Cancer is on the cusp.

Eclipse Mars, ruler of the tertiary 5th house of risks and gambles:
  • Conjuncted tertiary Pluto, planet of wealth, at the outer cusp of the 8th house.
  • Sextiled tertiary Neptune at the cusp of the 11th house of plot twists.
  • Sextiled its own tertiary position, which conjuncted Neptune, and occupied the 11th.
  • Trined tertiary Mercury, ruler of the Midheaven.

The Eclipse Ascendant and Part of Fortune sextiled and trined the tertiary Midheaven/ Nadir, and trined the Prenatal Solar Eclipse at 27 Pisces 28.

The Eclipse Midheaven trined the tertiary Sun at the cusp of the 2nd house of money.

The Eclipse Vertex date with destiny conjuncted tertiary Uranus, planet of surprises and sudden changes in fortune.

The Eclipse East Point sextiled Saturn, ruler of the 2nd house of money.
