Unlike solar arc
directions where the planets maintain the exact same distances from
each other that they hold in the natal chart, secondary progressed
planets all move at their natural rate of speed, so like transits,
they form new aspects to each other over time. These progressions are
usually calculated once a year around the time of our birthday, and
reveal major themes to play out in our lives in the year to come.
Some astrologers read only the transiting Moon due to the quick rate
of speed at which it moves (about one degree per month). That’s
like trying to write a book using only the letter A. We’re going to
examine the secondary progressed chart for each winner, calculated to
show the exact positions at the time of the win, then compare it to
the natal chart, and finally, we’re going to see how the winning
transits triggered the progressed charts to bring home the bacon.
You may not agree
with the width of some orbs, and your default judgment for separating
aspects may be very strict. Mine tend to be, as well, but here, they
are being presented as they really were. Only in places where I point
out that “the birth time might be off by a few minutes,” and
provide alternative thoughts, were the charts cast for anything other
than the recorded time.
Experiment with
relocated charts if you wish, but in my experience, secondary
progressions should not be relocated, even if the person has moved a
great distance from the place of their birth because they are
projections in time, not space. However, cast the transit
chart for the current residence.
